IndianOil, India's leading oil firm, has commenced production of STORM-X, a high-octane petrol formulated specifically for racing cars, at its Paradip refinery in Odisha. The maiden consignment was flagged off by IOC Director (Marketing) V Satish Kumar during a recent event.

With this launch, IndianOil becomes one of the few global producers of racing fuel compliant with FIA's stringent 2024 specifications. The premium fuel, developed in collaboration with the IOC R&D Centre and certified by Bureau Veritas, Dubai, blends high-octane gasoline with advanced sustainable components like 2G Ethanol from Panipat Refinery.

IndianOil's innovative strides come as the country joins a select league of nations capable of producing specialized 'reference' petrol and diesel, previously sourced only through imports. This breakthrough marks a significant step for India, enhancing its capabilities in the global motor racing landscape.
