In a direct attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the recent by-election results reflect a public desire to dismantle 'dictatorship' and support the INDIA bloc for justice. The INDIA bloc secured 10 of the 13 assembly seats, while BJP claimed only two, with an Independent candidate winning one seat.

Rahul Gandhi took to his official X handle to state, "The results of the bye-elections in seven states have made it clear that the web of fear and confusion woven by the BJP has been broken." He underscored that all classes, including farmers, youth, laborers, and businessmen, aim to eradicate dictatorship and establish justice.

Congress leaders celebrated the INDIA bloc's resounding victory, attributing BJP's poor performance to its "arrogance, misgovernance, and negative politics." Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted that the by-election results signal the declining political credibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The support for the INDIA bloc was reaffirmed by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who congratulated the winning candidates and reiterated the party's commitment to addressing the aspirations of the nation's youth. She noted the public's preference for positive politics that promises both immediate improvements and long-term development.

The votes for the 13 legislative assembly seats across seven states were counted on Saturday morning. By-elections were conducted on July 10 in constituencies throughout Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
