AG&P LNG and BKLS Agreement Paves Way for China's First Spot LNG Cargo

AG&P LNG and BKLS sign an agreement to deliver the first spot LNG cargo to China, signifying their commitment to meeting China's rising LNG demand. The landmark deal includes a ceremony held on July 11, 2024. Additionally, the partnership will explore Small Scale LNG initiatives utilising the Cai Mep terminal in Vietnam.

AG&P LNG and BK LNG Solution (BKLS) have signed an agreement to introduce the first spot LNG cargo into China, a move reflecting their joint commitment to addressing the country's increasing demand for LNG. A signing ceremony to mark this significant milestone occurred on July 11, 2024, and the cargo delivery is scheduled for the end of August 2024.

This partnership represents a pivotal step for both parties, as they seek to enhance LNG supply reliability in China. AG&P LNG, known for its robust terminal and logistics capabilities, will utilize its global LNG sourcing expertise to ensure efficient delivery to the Chinese market.

Henry Kim, President of BK LNG Solution, expressed his enthusiasm: "This collaboration demonstrates our dedication to providing innovative and diversified LNG solutions to meet the dynamic needs of the Chinese LNG market."

Additionally, AG&P LNG and BKLS will cooperate on Small Scale LNG (ssLNG) initiatives, using the Cai Mep terminal in Vietnam for breakbulk LNG deliveries into China. Karthik Sathyamoorthy, CEO of AG&P LNG, noted, "Together, we aim to set new benchmarks in delivering reliable and sustainable LNG solutions to support China's growing energy demands."

The agreement marks a significant milestone in advancing LNG solutions in China, positioning both companies at the forefront of addressing the nation's evolving energy needs.
