Prime Minister Modi Consults Economists for Transformative 2024-25 Budget

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is convening a meeting with leading economists for insights on the upcoming 2024-25 Budget. The Budget, set to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, aims to outline the future economic roadmap for India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with eminent economists this Thursday to gather insights and suggestions for the forthcoming Budget, a senior government official reported.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the 2024-25 Budget in the Lok Sabha on July 23.

The meeting was also attended by Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, Planning Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran, and economists such as Surjit Bhalla and Ashok Gulati, along with veteran banker K V Kamath.
