Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha on Monday announced the launch of the e-office initiative in all Panchayat offices across the state. Certificates of achievement were awarded to departments that achieved 100 per cent success in implementing the e-office system. The declaration was made during an event at the Secretariat's 2nd-floor auditorium.

This initiative, aimed at enhancing cleanliness, efficiency, and accountability in administration, marks a significant step in the state's digital transformation. The e-office platform has been extended to every Panchayat office in Tripura, setting a benchmark for digital governance. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saha emphasized the state government's commitment to digitization in all sectors to ensure clean governance. He noted that e-Cabinet systems are already in place, facilitating rapid service delivery.

Saha highlighted that 587 Gram Panchayats, 589 Village Council Offices, 4 District Panchayat Offices, 4 PRIs, 35 Panchayat Samitis, 40 Block Advisory Committees, and 8 District Councils are now integrated with e-office facilities. Additionally, crucial departments like Information & Culture, Education, and Urban Development have also adopted e-office systems. The Chief Minister underscored that the successful implementation of the Beneficiary Management System (BMS) has further bolstered the state's digitization efforts, enabling residents to avail services seamlessly. He expressed that the state government is earnestly working towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Digital India.

Speaking at the event, IT Minister Pranajit Singh Roy stated that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state has made significant strides in digitization efforts. Despite being a small state, Tripura ranks well in digital initiatives nationwide. He recalled that the mission-mode implementation of the e-office commenced in May 2023 and has since expanded to include Panchayat-level offices. The event was attended by Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Commerce and Industry Secretary Vishweshri B, Secretary of Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar, Secretary of Urban Development Abhishek Singh, Revenue Secretary Punit Agarwal, and other secretaries and officials from various departments.
