Polish refiner Orlen's Swiss trading unit spent more than 1.5 billion zlotys ($372.24 million) without supervision and it is now being investigated, Poland's state prosecutor said on Tuesday.
State-controlled Orlen said last week it had cancelled contracts signed by its Swiss trading unit OTS to buy Venezuelan oil and refined products after losing around 1.6 billion zlotys on prepayments for deliveries it never received. ($1 = 4.0297 zlotys)
