Golden Trichy Utsav will be held tonight to mark the end of Brahmotsavam. Brahmotsavam is a festival to commemorate an offering by Lord Bramha to Lord Vishnu.
According to a legend, Lord Bramha performed a Brahmotsavam prayer for Lord Vishnu. And that's why you will find Shiva, Bramha, and Vishnu at the Suchidram Sthaumalaya Temple, where offerings are given daily. The festival takes place over a span of nine days and is also termed Brahma's Utsavam or Lord Brahma's festival.
In the year 2023, Brahmotsavam is celebrated twice due to Adhik Maas during September and October. September Brahmotsavam has come to an end and the celebration for Tirumala Navaratri Brahmotsavams started on October 15, 2023, and concluded on October 23, 2023. (ANI)
