Video game composer Jeremy Soule has been accused of rape by Indie developer Nathalie Lawhead through a detailed blog post in which she explained his "misogynistic behavior" and how "inappropriate things he did (to women)" inspired his music.

Lawhead claimed that Jeremy Soule first created a friendship bond with her and took advantage of her using his position after knowing how desperately she needed her job. She claims that the incident happened in 2008.

It is not yet clear if Lawhead has taken the matter to authorities yet but social media seems to be already divided over the accusations on Jeremy Soule.

While many are criticizing Soule for his behavior, several others are advocating that it is too early to jump to conclusions.

For example, criticizing him, a Twitter user Kahner said tweeted that "Strength be on those with the courage to come forward. We can't ever let this stand. Now I feel like any inspiration gained and used by listening to Jeremy Soule has been tainted". Another user Felix tweeted that "The hardest thing is going to be watching #jeremysoule's name in #ElderScrollsVI soundtrack. Hope I'm wrong, but if thats the case I will not be buying it."

Then there's the other side that is refraining from jumping to conclusions, one user Chairo tweeted that "I certainly hope the accusations against Jeremy Soule is not true. Still it's really disappointing to see so many people jump to conclusions. Lynch mob mentality really is rejuvinated by social media like Reddit, Facebook and Twitter."

While another user Dareon said, "Innocent until proven guilty apparently is a thing of the past for many people", with the hashtag Jeremy Soule.

In the blog post, Nathalie Lawhead also explained how she was exploited and her payments were delayed while she was working with the company related to Jeremy Soule and also shared screenshots of the emails she exchanged with her employers.
