Sherlock Season 5 has many possibilities, Small plot revealed

Sherlock Season 5 is not officially confirmed but we are sure that it is going to be made sooner than later. In many occasions, the making of another season has got indications like from Benedict Cumberbatch, and the series creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, which give a clear notion that fans need not worry much.

It’s true the cancellation rumor of Sherlock Season 5 once created headlines for several days. One of its strong reasons was the ending episode of Season 4 titled ‘The Final Problem’. This typical title created plenty of confusions among fans as they believed it already marked the end of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories.

Two vital reasons why Sherlock Season 5 cannot be cancelled. The Walking Dead actress Eleanor Matsuura was introduced in Season 4’s premiere episode titled ‘The Six Thatchers’. She played the role of Stella Hopkins, a detective inspector. The viewers saw her in a video call with the protagonist Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch). Stella visited Baker Street apartment and sent an assurance to help Sherlock. But she was not seen after that resulting in a small emptiness in the plot that is highly expected to open a chance for her. And the second reason is people have rated it 9.1 and was highly loved by global fans.

One of the main reasons why the making of Season 5 has been delayed is to Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat’s busy schedule. Both the creators are currently engaged in the making of Dracula series and they are truly not getting time to work on Sherlock.

Many are wondering what could be the focus of Sherlock Season 5 whenever it airs. According to Business Times China, the plot could revolve between Benedict Cumberbatch’s protagonist role and his long-lost sister Eurus (Sian Brooke). Later it was revealed that she has been playing the emotions of Benedict Cumberbatch’s character for amusement.

We still don’t know when Season 5 will actually air as there has been no update on the production processes. Some say that since Benedict Cumberbatch will be busy in filming Doctor Strange 2 in 2020, it may be tough him to give time for Sherlock series. Even BBC is absolutely tightlipped on the production process and declaration of an official release date.
