Sherlock Season 5 to bring back The Widow actress, What about Sherlock’s landlady?

Since Sherlock Season 4 dropped its finale on January 15, 2017, fans are passionately looking forward to the airing of Season 5. But the most relevant question for Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman-starring Sherlock fans is when Season 5 is going to be aired?

Sherlock Season 5 is still looked upon by worldwide fans to be confirmed by BBC. What we know there is still a chance that the British crime drama television series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories could come back in future as there have been multiple hints dropped since Season 4 dropped its finale.

Some major developments we have noticed such as Sherlock Season 5 is going to have Eleanor Matsuura. The Walking Dead Season 9 actress will be seen playing the role of Detective Inspector Stella Hopkins. Recently, Digital Spy has reported about the presence of The Widow-actress Louise Brealey in the fifth season that will show Benedict Cumberbatch in the protagonist’s role. The 40-year old actress, Louise Brealey is best known for playing Molly Hooper in Sherlock.

Louise Brealey has dropped a hint during a conversation with Radio Times about her hope of returning to Sherlock Season 5. “I know originally there was a hope that we would do a special down the line. I haven't heard that that's on or off. To utilise two clichés, I think it’s on the very back burner and not necessarily on the cards,” she said. Although the making of a special episode has created a rumour, Brealey said that she didn’t hear about it.

On the other hand, she also stated that Una Stubbs is also keen to get back in the series. The 82-year old English actress played the role of Sherlock Homes and Doctor John Watson’s landlady, Mrs Hudson. “Una and I are always like, ‘Wouldn’t it be lovely to do another one?” she explained. “But unfortunately we’re not in charge of the decision making in the room,” she added.
