Sacred Games Season 2 ‘to be father of Season 1’, Netflix to announce release date in 14 days

Sacred Games Season 2 is expected to maintain its USP of every character having an important role to play including the baddies. The show is undeniably popular not only in India, fans across the world love this web television thriller series based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name.

Since Sacred Games Season 2 was announced in September last year, fans were quite excited to get an important piece of information including some leaks from the plot. The show creators fuelled their expectation by releasing a 58-second teaser on September 21, 2018. “This season will be the baap (father) of the first one,” Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays Ganesh Gaitonde, teased. He further said, “Even if people know Ganesh Gaitonde, they won’t know what to expect from him.”

Here what fans can expect from Sacred Games Season 2. Saif Ali Khan will be back in the series as a police officer, Sartaj Singh. It is likely to pick up from him pursuing his relentless battle to save the city and Ganesh Gaitonde confronting bigger challenges to retain his position as the legendary kingpin of Mumbai.

On the other hand, the upcoming season will be back with a new plot of crime, passion, treachery, betrayal of faith in India’s financial capital Mumbai. Guruji (played by Pankaj Tripathi) in the first season will shape the next season in chains of surprising events.

Netflix has recently hinted that it may declare the premiere date of Sacred Games Season 2 in the next two weeks. A tweet by Netflix in Hindi reads – “Calendar nikaal. Tareekh likh le. 14 din mein kuch bada hone wala hai” (Take out the calendar and Note down the date as something big is going to take place in 14 days).
