Criminal Minds Season 15 to pick up 6 months after, Reid finds new love interest

Criminal Minds Season 15 will show the presence of Perception actress Rachael Leigh Cook in the character Max who is described as a kind-hearted, quirky, candid woman. Max will be the love interest for Dr. Reid.

The 39-year old actress will appear in minimum of two episodes of Criminal Minds Season 15, which will mark the end of the series. Her character is likely to be introduced as an unsub victim in one of the cases to be handled by the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Fans believe that she will be seen developing her friendship with Dr. Reid in her first episode and later will reappear as his very special friend.

Korea Portal says that a love interest for Dr. Reid will perhaps mean that what happened between him and JJ Jareau (A J Cook) in Criminal Minds Season 14 finale isn’t going to be complicated romance. Fans also came to know JJ’s has always loved Reid though she tried to backtrack on her confession at David Rossi’s (Joe Mantegna) wedding.

The showrunner Erica Messer has confirmed that JJ-thing would be rightly tackled at the pilot episode of episode 15. “When we meet them in the first two episodes of season 15, what we learn is they haven't really talked about it because it’s made that much of an impact. Six months have passed story-wise and it’s time they talk about it. It gets muddy,” Messer said to Entertainment Tonight.

Criminal Minds finale will pick up six months after the events of Season 14’s finale. It is expected to see some messy consequences after a long time.
