Mizoram is on its way to becoming India's 'winter capital' for tourism, according to Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar. In a recent meeting with Union Tourism Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar in New Delhi, Hmar highlighted the state's vision to become a seasonal hub and pressed for Central support.
The minister stressed the importance of making Mizoram a destination where tourists can extend their stay. He proposed several initiatives to enhance the tourist experience in Aizawl and other parts of the state, without compromising its rich Mizo culture.
Kumar expressed optimism about Mizoram's untapped tourism potential, emphasizing the need to develop key attractions. He supported the 'One State: One Global Destination' project, which aligns with the state's tourism goals.
