Don Moen was recently in Rwanda’s capital city Kigali. The renowned American singer and producer of Christian worship music thrilled the Rwandans with joy and ecstasy with his fantabulous skills on violin and another instrument for which he is popularly known to be a maestro.
The 68-year old Don Moen mesmerized the audiences at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village Parking. He said that he always had invitations from Rwanda and tried to come before, but it did not materialise. “Have we received invitations to come to Rwanda before? Yes. But God’s timing is always perfect,” he said.
Don Moen, at the end, vowed that it was just the beginning. “We will come back to Rwanda,” he assured the audience. Dinah Uwera and Columbus too got the crowd in the ‘Holy Spirit’ mood.
The concert dubbed “Kigali Praise Fest” was merged with the annual Africa Lets Worship (AFLEWO) festival and sponsored by MTN Rwanda and organized by RG Consult. Luckily for the organisers, the rain which had threatened to dampen the mood subsided, allowing show-goers to enjoy the performances to the fullest, New Times noted.
