Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing critique on the BJP, accusing the ruling party of hollow religious commitments and electoral manipulation. Yadav shared concerns on social platform 'X' over the neglect of the sacred Sankarshan Kund in Mathura.
In 2018, South Indian priests carried out the consecration of Lord Dauji on the Govardhan Parikrama route, yet Yadav claims the site is now disregarded by the BJP, alleging 'pretentious faith' aimed solely at elections. He urges for restoration and respect for sacred sites.
Further, Yadav alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government is sacrificing Lucknow's green spaces, like Janeshwar Mishra Park, for commercial events. He calls for a civil movement to defend city parks against conversion into 'garbage dumps,' cautioning residents against future environmental fallout.
