A legal complaint has been filed against unnamed individuals over allegations of stalking a German musician at Varkala, a well-known tourist spot, as per statements from local officials on Monday.

The incident reportedly took place on November 1, when Lena Maier, a musician from Germany, was in Varkala. Around 6:45 p.m., she found herself being followed by a group near the Varkala Helipad.

After informing German authorities in Thiruvananthapuram, the German Consul lodged an official complaint with the District Police Chief. Consequently, a case, invoking Sections 189(2), 190, and 78(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, was registered at the local police station. Authorities are examining CCTV footage as efforts continue to trace and identify the suspects, who are presumed to be from another state.
