Journey of Guru Gobind Singh's Sacred Footwear: 'Jore Sahib' Yatra

The sacred 'Jore Sahib', revered as the footwear of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur, is set to embark on a ceremonial procession this Thursday, culminating at the Takht Patna Sahib in Patna. This procession, known as the 'Guru Charan Yatra', will permanently enshrine the historic relics at the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has encouraged the public to witness the journey as it traverses Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Highlighting the spiritual significance, Modi emphasized the Yatra's role in reinforcing the inspiring ideals of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
Held in the Puri family's custody for over 300 years, the relics will begin their journey from Gurdwara Moti Bagh, progressing through multiple regions before reaching Patna Sahib. A special 'Kirtan Samagam' was organized at Gurdwara Moti Bagh, where devotees gathered to honor the legacy and bid farewell to the sacred footwear.
