Wings of Valor: Revamping the Shaurya Vatika Open-Air Museum
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to enrich the Shaurya Vatika Open-Air Museum by adding decommissioned aircraft from the Kargil War. These will be transported from Chennai, reassembled in Lucknow, and offer visitors an immersive experience into India's military legacy through various exhibits and modern technology.

The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is poised to enhance the Shaurya Vatika Open-Air Museum by integrating significant war relics. The TU-148 aircraft and SK43B helicopter, pivotal in the Kargil War, will be relocated to Lucknow from Chennai's INS Rajali Airbase.
Upon arrival, these decommissioned machines will be meticulously reassembled and updated with modern amenities. Plans include offering visitors an immersive journey through India's military history, complete with exhibits depicting historic battles and naval histories.
The initiative underscores efforts not only to preserve military legacy but also to educate young minds about India's armed forces through visionary VR and AR technologies and comprehensive displays, enhancing the educational and inspirational value of the museum.
