Yangang Hosts International Youth Conclave to Boost Tourism
Yangang in Sikkim will host the International Youth Conclave for Tourism Development next month as part of its 50th statehood anniversary celebrations. The conclave, aimed at discussing sustainable tourism, will gather 176 international and domestic delegates, featuring panel discussions, heritage walks, and interactive sessions.

Yangang, a quaint hamlet in Sikkim's Namchi district, prepares to host the International Youth Conclave for Tourism Development next month. This event marks 50 years of statehood and aims to put Yangang on the map as a hub for sustainable tourism, according to the Yangang Tourism Development Committee and the Sikkim Tourism Department.
The conclave, scheduled for April 12 to 14, will bring together 176 delegates from India and around the globe. Under the theme "Celebrating Sikkim's 50 Years of Statehood", it seeks to explore the state's journey in tourism and future opportunities, while positioning Yangang as a center for cultural preservation.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang addressed the significance of tourism for Sikkim's progress, coinciding with the vision of Sunaulo, Samriddha and Samartha Sikkim. Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa emphasized the role of community involvement in branding Sikkim globally. Attendees will partake in heritage walks, panel discussions, and strategic developmental sessions, showcasing projects like the Dhapper to Bhaleydhunga Ropeway.
