Director Sriram Raghavan is venturing into new territory with his latest project, 'Ikkis'. Known for his gripping thrillers, Raghavan is diving into the war genre for the first time, drawing inspiration from classic movies like 'Fury' and 'Battle of the Bulge'.

'Ikkis', which tells the story of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, promises authentic action sequences to do justice to its true-to-life narrative. The film features a cast that includes Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and newcomer Simar Bhatia.

With only ten days of shooting left, the film is expected to release in September. Raghavan, speaking at the Red Lorry Film Festival, noted the challenges and excitement of working outside his usual genre. As he completes 'Ikkis', the director looks forward to returning to thrillers with future projects.
