In the heart of Maharashtra's political landscape, a satire-induced storm brews as Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray calls for accountability. The former minister demands reparations for those responsible for vandalizing the venue of comedian Kunal Kamra's controversial show.
The incident was triggered by Kamra's comedic jibes aimed at Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, focusing on his political trajectory and the notable rebellion against former CM Uddhav Thackeray. This led to apparent outrage among Eknath Shinde's supporters.
On Sunday, fervor transformed into action as agitators ransacked the Habitat Comedy Club and a nearby hotel. Rapid arrests of 12 Shiv Sena members ensued, yet they were quickly granted bail. Thackeray underscored the dangers of justifying such violence, urging governmental intervention to prevent a dangerous precedent.
