Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled plans for a model cow shelter in Ghumanhera village, backed by a Rs 40 crore allocation. The announcement took place during the presentation of her first budget, which includes modern facilities for cow protection, milk production, and veterinary care.
In presenting a comprehensive Rs 1 lakh crore FY26 Budget, Gupta underscored ten key focus areas including the Yamuna cleaning, women's economic empowerment, infrastructure, and connectivity, aiming to usher in self-reliance for the national capital.
Highlighting the balanced approach of the new budget, Gupta emphasized its combination of innovation and infrastructure with attention to societal needs, marking a significant political milestone as the first BJP-led government budget in Delhi in over two decades.
