Motorcycle Expedition: Inspiring Northeast's Youth to Join Armed Forces

The Indian Air Force's motorcycle expedition to inspire young people in Northeast India to join the armed forces began its Arunachal Pradesh leg on Tuesday.
The 12-day journey, titled 'Wings and Wheels: Glorious IAF and Magnificent North East', started from Bagdogra in West Bengal on March 18 and is led by Group Captain Avinash Bhardwaj.
The team of 27 motorcyclists, which includes 15 Air Force personnel, has already traveled 2,880 km and plans additional stops in key locations like Pasighat, Ziro, Jorhat, and Diphu, culminating in Shillong, Meghalaya.
Organized by the Eastern Air Command, the expedition recently saw participation from local dignitaries, including Governor KT Parnaik, who praised Arunachal Pradesh's unique cultural and environmental wealth.
Senior Air Force officials, including Air Vice Marshal HA Rather and Air Commodore Tarun Desai, attended the ceremonial flag-off at Raj Bhavan.
