Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi launched a sharp critique against the Congress party on Tuesday, accusing them of undermining the Constitution through their stance on Muslim reservation in Karnataka government contracts. Naqvi described the party's actions as a 'contract killing of the Constitution.'
Additionally, Naqvi took aim at stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, condemning his comments about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as defamatory. Naqvi criticized what he perceived as a misuse of 'freedom of expression,' suggesting some equate it to 'freestyle anarchy.'
The former Information and Broadcasting Minister emphasized that while art should be respected, it must not be used as a tool for biased propaganda or misinformation that fosters societal fear. Naqvi accused Congress of attempting to 'hijack' constitutional strength through communal actions, labeling their efforts as 'unconstitutional and criminal.'
