Actor and karate icon Shihan Hussaini, fondly known just as 'Hu', has passed away following a battle with blood cancer. The 60-year-old martial arts legend, who was also an accomplished sculptor and painter, inspired countless young individuals to pursue archery and martial arts.
Recognized as the founding father of the Archery Association of Tamil Nadu, Hussaini's death was announced by TAAT spokesperson Ashwin Kumar Iyer, who praised his relentless contributions, transforming archery from a niche sport to a celebrated discipline in the state.
Despite his illness, Hussaini continued impacting lives, opting to donate his body for medical research. His legacy continues in the memories of students, as well as on the silver screen where he appeared alongside stars like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in several films.
