In a shocking incident, Hamdan Ballal, a Palestinian co-director of the Oscar-winning film "No Other Land," was assaulted by Israeli settlers in the West Bank on Monday and subsequently detained by the Israeli military.
The attack took place in the Palestinian village of Susiya, located in the Masafer Yatta area, renowned for its tensions, where settlers reportedly destroyed property, according to activists from the Centre for Jewish Nonviolence.
Ballal, alongside another Palestinian man, was taken into custody while receiving medical treatment for head injuries. The activists have reported his current whereabouts as unknown, raising concerns about his safety.
