Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced plans to emphasize the legacy of Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar by disseminating his contributions and writings across the state. This initiative aims to shed light on Savarkar's life and work amidst criticisms of historical misrepresentations.

In a ceremony in Pragati Nagar, Yadav unveiled a bust of Savarkar, underscoring the state's commitment to honoring his birth and death anniversaries with major programs. Yadav saluted Savarkar's resilience against colonial adversities, notably highlighting his defiant spirit against British rule.

Ranjit Savarkar, Savarkar's grandson, made a controversial plea to boycott what he describes as 'Bangladeshi infiltrators'. He also advocated for a biographical film on Vinayak Savarkar's life to be shown in schools and colleges across Madhya Pradesh.
