Pope Francis Returns: Recovery at Santa Marta
Pope Francis made his first public appearance since battling double pneumonia and returned to the Vatican. The 88-year-old pontiff, advised to rest for two more months, resides in Casa Santa Marta. No new special arrangements are made, except for a new adjustable bed.

Pope Francis emerged publicly for the first time after spending 38 days in the hospital combating double pneumonia. The 88-year-old pontiff, who was out of sight since February 14, returned to the Vatican on Sunday.
He resumed residence at Casa Santa Marta, his home since becoming pope in 2013. There, he has lived largely self-sufficiently, despite the recent installation of an adjustable bed to assist his recovery, as reported by Italy's Corriere della Sera.
While the Vatican has not made additional changes to accommodate the pope's recovery, he is expected to follow doctor's orders for rest. His public agenda remains unclear, though key engagements, like meeting King Charles and Easter celebrations, are anticipated.
