On Monday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated an advanced light and sound show at the renowned Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Vadnagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hometown. This initiative, developed by the Gujarat Tourism Corporation at a cost of Rs 5.53 crore, aims to immerse visitors in the temple's rich history and cultural narrative.
The light and sound attraction celebrates the temple's significance, illustrating the legendary tale of Lord Shiva's emergence on Earth from 'Pataal Lok.' The temple's intricate architecture, steeped in religious tradition, is expected to attract both national and international tourists, enhancing Vadnagar's reputation as a cultural hotspot.
During a high-level meeting, CM Patel discussed ongoing and completed development projects aimed at revitalizing Vadnagar while preserving its cultural legacy. These efforts include urban development, tourism advancements, and the establishment of heritage areas. The temple is now among seven pilgrimage destinations in Gujarat to host such a show.
