Maharashtra Cyber officials have recorded the statement of comedian Samay Raina concerning a case of objectionable remarks made on his YouTube show. The cyber division, tasked with ensuring information security, is delving into the issue which also implicates podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia following his controversial comments.

Ranveer Allahbadia's remarks on Raina's web show 'India's Got Latent' incited significant public outcry earlier this year. As a result, the case has attracted considerable attention, with multiple police complaints lodged both online and offline. Maharashtra Cyber has thus summoned Raina multiple times for his deposition.

Having recently returned from abroad, Raina appeared at Maharashtra Cyber's Mhape headquarters to provide his statement, which took over five hours. His deposition comes after prior statements were collected from Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Makhija, and others linked to the web show.
