TTD Board Approves Rs 5,259 Crore Budget with Key Resolutions

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board has sanctioned a substantial budget of Rs 5,259 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, according to a statement from chairman B R Naidu.
Among the crucial resolutions adopted by the board are measures to increase salaries and medical benefits for 'Potu' workers, responsible for tasks in the temple kitchen. The board also pledged financial assistance for the reconstruction of temples in several locations, including Kodangal, Karimnagar, and Tirupati.
A particular focus was placed on improving services for elderly and differently-abled devotees, including the potential introduction of offline darshan opportunities. Changes also include substantial infrastructure projects, with new guidelines set for VIP and non-VIP guest accommodations in Tirumala, along with a rescinded 20-acre land allotment for a science city project.
