Iconic singer-songwriter and pianist Billy Joel has announced a temporary halt to his touring schedule due to recovery from a medical procedure, E! News reports. Eight of his concert dates have been postponed, some by over a year, to allow him sufficient time to recuperate and undergo necessary physical therapy.

Joel, who expects a full recovery, expressed regret over the postponements but emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health. In a statement, he reaffirmed his eagerness to return to performance, sharing, "I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans."

The rescheduling includes his gig at Hard Rock Live, now set for November. Billy Joel's international tour runs through 2026, coinciding with the release of his first new single in over a decade. Reflecting on the music industry's evolution, Joel noted the increased workload involved in producing music today.
