Canon India, in a commendable move towards community development, celebrated the fourth anniversary of its adoption of Parivali Village in Maharashtra under its 'Adopt a Village' initiative. The event, led by President & CEO Mr. Toshiaki Nomura, highlighted significant strides in addressing water scarcity and improving local education infrastructure.
The initiative has witnessed notable developments, including the construction of a rainwater harvesting facility and the launch of skill-based training programs, benefiting numerous students and enhancing literacy rates. These efforts are in line with Canon's 4Es policy, which emphasizes Education, Eye Care, Environment, and Empowerment.
Aligned with the Skill India mission, Canon's efforts extend beyond rural villages, aiming to uplift youth in urban slums through its Skill Development and Livelihood programme. As Canon celebrates this milestone, it reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable development and empowering communities across India.
