Sony Pictures has postponed the release of 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,' featuring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, to September 19. The decision avoids a clash with Disney/Marvel's 'Thunderbolts.' Directed by Kogonada, the film promises an imaginative tale of connection between strangers, supported by a notable cast.

Sony Pictures has officially rescheduled the premiere of its much-anticipated romance drama, 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.' Originally slated for a May 9 release, audiences will now be able to see the film in theaters on September 19. The movie stars Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell in leading roles.

According to reports from Deadline, Sony Pictures decided to delay 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' to avoid competing with the high-profile Disney/Marvel Studios film 'Thunderbolts,' which is set to dominate the box office beginning May 2. Instead, Sony's film will now contend with Universal's horror movie 'Him' and 20th Century Studios' 'Ella McCay,' both releasing on the new date.

Directed by Kogonada and penned by Seth Reiss, this film offers a unique storytelling experience about two strangers and their unbelievable journey. Adding to its appeal is an impressive supporting cast that includes talents such as Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Hamish Linklater.

The production is backed by Imperative Entertainment and 30WEST, with financing from 30WEST. Producers Bradley Thomas, Ryan Friedkin, Seth Reiss, and Youree Henley helm the project alongside executive producers Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, and Ori Eisen.
