Denise Avila, spokesperson for the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, reported that deputies conducted a welfare check at the Hackman residence on Wednesday at approximately 1:45 pm local time, finding Hackman, 95, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and a pet dog dead.
