In a somber turn of events, Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife were discovered deceased in their New Mexico residence, law enforcement disclosed on Wednesday.

Authorities have ruled out foul play, yet details surrounding the couple's deaths remain scant as investigations persist. Denise Avila, spokesperson for the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, reported that deputies conducted a welfare check at the Hackman residence on Wednesday at approximately 1:45 pm local time, finding Hackman, 95, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and a pet dog dead.
