Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conveyed heartfelt wishes to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Herath, synonymous with Maha Shivaratri, on Tuesday.
''Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Herath! May this sacred festival bring peace, prosperity, and divine blessings to every home. Herath Mubarak!'' Abdullah shared on his official X account, highlighting the festival's importance.
Herath, celebrated on the 13th day of the dark half of Phalguna month, holds deep cultural and socio-religious significance for the Kashmiri Pandits, who observe it even after migrating due to regional unrest. Additionally, Former Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti extended her greetings, reinforcing unity within the community.
