A diverse delegation from the National Cadet Corps of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives came together in Kathmandu to attend the 2025 Youth Exchange Programme. The visit coincided with the 262nd anniversary celebrations of the Nepal Army and the Mahashivaratri festival.

During their stay, the delegation paid a formal courtesy visit to Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar. The Prime Minister's Secretariat noted the strategic importance of the youth exchange programme in strengthening mutual understanding among the friendly nations' armed forces.

The 34-member delegation, led by Director General of NCC India Gurbir Pal Singh, arrived in Nepal at the behest of the Nepal Army. The visit was seen as a significant opportunity to celebrate culture, foster skill-sharing, and deepen traditional ties.
