Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an on-site review on Monday of the arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Harsil and Mukhba in the Uttarkashi district on February 27. The visit, expected to boost winter tourism, sees both areas meticulously prepped to welcome the national leader.
Mukhba, nestled near the renowned Gangotri temple and the winter retreat for goddess Ganga's idol, is anticipated to benefit from increased tourist influx. Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the importance of organizing the trip seamlessly and spotlighted plans to showcase Uttarakhand's rich cultural heritage during the event.
Highlighting the benefits of past visits by the Prime Minister, Dhami noted a surge in tourists and pilgrims to key religious sites and massive capital investments during Uttarakhand's Investors Summit. Furthermore, recent national events have elevated the state's standing, marking Uttarakhand as both 'Devbhoomi' and 'Khel Bhoomi'.
