A tragic incident unfolded at a Rohini temple where a fire broke out, claiming the life of Pandit Banwari Lal Sharma, a 65-year-old priest. The police confirmed his identity after he was found trapped within the temple premises.

The fire department responded promptly to the call from Prem Nagar police station, and the firefighters managed to control the flames. However, Sharma was found unconscious and was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Authorities suspect that an operational heater might have ignited the fire, according to preliminary findings. Interviews with four witnesses, including family members, revealed no suspicions about the blaze. Investigations continue as police and forensic teams scrutinize the scene for any signs of foul play.
