Several prominent figures gathered at the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj to pay their respects to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at a memorial prayer service. The tribute included traditional kirtan and Antim Ardas, attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Key figures from the Sikh community, including SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami and DSGMC chief Harmeet Singh Kalka, were also present. The DSGMC announced the initiation of a scholarship in Singh's name for economics students, alongside plans to display the late Prime Minister's photographs in all its educational institutions throughout Delhi.
Additionally, DSGMC intends to open a new educational institute named after Singh. They have vowed to commemorate his death annually on December 26. The ceremony was attended by a host of leaders from various political spectrums, emphasizing Singh's significant contributions to India's economic reforms during his tenure.
