The Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival, slated for January 10-12, promises to be a feast for the senses, celebrating India's rich heritage of oral and culinary storytelling. Set in Udaipur's picturesque landscape, the event brings together renowned figures such as mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik and writer-lyricist Divy Nidhi Sharma.

This year's edition places particular emphasis on culinary narratives, exploring the stories behind regional Indian cuisines. The three-day event will offer sessions like 'Sati Savitri' by Pattanaik, who will delve into ancient Indian scriptures, while Sharma will discuss modern storytelling and scriptwriting techniques.

Fouzia Dastango, the pioneering female Dastango, will perform 'Dastaan-e-Ghalib,' celebrating the esteemed poet. The event will see performances from theatre stalwarts like Makarand Deshpande and other storytellers, providing a holistic cultural experience complete with handcrafted items and gastronomic delights.
