Kaziranga National Park has witnessed its highest tourist influx in two decades, reporting 164,636 visitors across its four ranges since reopening in October 2024, according to officials.
The park, known for its seasonal openings from October to May, generated a substantial revenue of Rs 43,226,225 from entry fees alone, highlighting the effectiveness of recent initiatives aimed at boosting its appeal.
Significant year-over-year growth has been observed, with an increase in monthly visits in October, November, and December compared to the previous year. The introduction of new attractions like Koliabhomora boat tours, bird watching, trekking, and cycle tracks has played a critical role in drawing both domestic and international tourists.
