Vaishali displayed tenacity, defeating China's Zhu Jiner before being overpowered by Ju Wenjun in the semi-final. Ju Wenjun continued to dominate, ultimately winning the world title against Lei Tingjie.
Viswanathan Anand, former world champion and FIDE vice president, praised Vaishali's accomplishment, highlighting the prowess of players from the WestBridge Anand Chess Academy. In the 'Open' section, a rare decision was made when Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi jointly claimed the Blitz title after three intense matches resulted in a draw.
