Niti Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) has forged a partnership with Urban Company to empower women in the salon and beauty parlour industry, according to an official statement released on Friday.

The initiative, part of WEP's award-to-reward programme, seeks to bolster women-led MSMEs by offering training in crucial areas such as legal compliance, finance, market development, and networking opportunities.

A study by MicroSave Consulting highlighted over 100,000 women-owned MSMEs in sectors like beauty, textiles, retail, and food, aiming to leverage insights to upscale women's businesses nationwide. Urban Company will lead the effort, collaborating with other stakeholders to support women's business growth.
