Brightening Futures: Solar Lanterns Illuminate Children's Day

Science City organized a program to raise awareness about green energy by distributing solar lanterns to 100 underprivileged children in West Bengal. The event coincided with Children's Day and taught participants skills in solar lantern fabrication, emphasizing the importance of embracing green energy solutions.

In a concerted effort to promote green energy, Science City, a unit under the National Council of Science Museums, distributed solar lanterns to one hundred underprivileged children. The children, hailing from various parts of West Bengal, participated in this initiative on Children's Day, gaining hands-on experience in solar technology.

The program sought to engage the community and provide youngsters with practical skills in solar lantern fabrication, as stated by Science City, Kolkata Director Anurag Kumar. He emphasized the importance of equipping participants with the insights necessary to adopt sustainable energy solutions.
