Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is set to inaugurate the newly developed Namo Ghat in Varanasi, which has become a major tourist attraction thanks to its iconic 'Namaste' sculptures and world-class amenities. The inauguration will take place on Friday, marking a significant moment for the city.
The ghat, an initiative led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, offers enhanced views of 'Subah-e-Banaras' and is accessible by land, water, and air. It boasts unique features such as a floating CNG station, an open-air theatre, and a helicopter landing pad, making it the first of its kind in Varanasi.
The project, supported by the Smart City Mission and the Indian Oil Foundation, emphasises local craftsmanship and includes amenities like a yoga area, water sports, a children's play zone, and a café. With plans for future attractions, it stands as a testament to the 'Vocal for Local' initiative.
