Chhattisgarh Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas with Folk Dance Fest
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas event in Raipur, featuring an inter-state folk dance fest with 28 tribal troupes from 21 states. The event celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The initiative aims to enhance tribal village development with a budget of Rs 80,000 crore.

The Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, kicked off the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas event in Raipur, marking a significant cultural occasion with an inter-state folk dance festival. The event, celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda, brought together 28 tribal dance troupes from 21 states at the Science College ground.
The Chief Minister highlighted the Centre's initiative, the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, promising Rs 80,000 crore for the development of tribal villages, including benefits for 6,691 villages in Chhattisgarh. He praised Prime Minister Modi for recognizing the contributions of tribal communities.
In attendance were Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and various state ministers, alongside BJP officials. The event also features seminars on diverse topics and a tribal painting exhibition, emphasizing the cultural richness and developmental aspirations of the tribal communities.
