Samvaad 2024, an esteemed tribal conclave hosted by the Tata Steel Foundation, will bring together 2,500 delegates representing 168 tribes from across the nation. The week-long event begins on Friday, commencing with a tribute to the venerable tribal icon, Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda, honoring his birth anniversary.
The event highlights include a symbolic ceremony featuring the resonant beats of 351 nagadas, emblematic of 32 tribal groups. As a platform for tribes to share their rich cultures, Samvaad will see new entrants performing for the first time, adding fresh vibrancy to the proceedings.
Attendees can explore an exhibition showcasing a diverse array of handmade goods, ranging from home decor to traditional clothing. A key feature is the presence of 31 stalls dedicated to tribal healers, offering insights into medicinal plant uses.
