Samvaad 2024, an esteemed tribal conclave hosted by the Tata Steel Foundation, will bring together 2,500 delegates representing 168 tribes from across the nation. The week-long event begins on Friday, commencing with a tribute to the venerable tribal icon, Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda, honoring his birth anniversary.

The event highlights include a symbolic ceremony featuring the resonant beats of 351 nagadas, emblematic of 32 tribal groups. As a platform for tribes to share their rich cultures, Samvaad will see new entrants performing for the first time, adding fresh vibrancy to the proceedings.

Attendees can explore an exhibition showcasing a diverse array of handmade goods, ranging from home decor to traditional clothing. A key feature is the presence of 31 stalls dedicated to tribal healers, offering insights into medicinal plant uses. Another highlight is the music album release by Rhythms of the Earth, in partnership with Ladakhi band Da Shugs, promoting India's tribal musical heritage.
