Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the inaugural Bodoland Mahotsav at the SAI Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, as confirmed by his office. This major two-day festival celebrates language, literature, and culture, promoting peace in the Bodo community.
The Mahotsav seeks to integrate Bodos from Bodoland, as well as those residing in Assam, West Bengal, Nepal, and across international borders. The theme, 'Peace and Harmony for Prosperous Bharat', emphasizes cultural and educational aspects, showcasing the Bodo community and its contributions.
Following the 2020 Bodo Peace Accord, the event celebrates recovery and resilience, and includes sessions on Bodo culture. It aims to harness Bodoland's cultural heritage and tourism potential, drawing thousands from India and neighboring countries.
