Asha Sharma and Puja Batra have claimed victory in the ladies pair competition at the National Ranking Bridge Championship, held this Wednesday.
Maintaining a strong performance from the qualifying rounds, the New Delhi duo emerged victorious among 18 finalists, finishing with an impressive 56 IMPs.
Runners-up included Mumbai's Usha Kabra and Kolkata's Bharati Dey with 50 IMPs. Significant cash prizes were awarded, with Sharma and Batra receiving Rs 40,000. The championship will continue with mixed team and pairs events later in the week.
